No races showing up on the calender?

I'm brand new to the game and I selected calender to begin racing my team but there are no races that show up at all. My only thought is that maybe it is the end of the season and thus no races are available. And with that, where do I look to see how much into the season it is? I thank you for your help!

You're right, last season has just ended.

On home page, on the right, you can see that season update will be on 23rd january, tomorrow. Then, 3 days of course (training), and then the new season will begin with new races.
