Final sprint tactics

Hi,
I have a question about tactics for final sprint.
What exactly does protector and suckerfish mean?
It would really help me to know this, since I'm translating the game into Slovak and I for sure don't want to give these roles meaning which they don't have actually.

I'm not sure, but I translate it as:

protector: the one shielding you from wind on the route (giving bonus if in same group the first sections of a race - I think the first four)

suckerfish: the lead-out guys who take care of you in the sprint and lead your designated sprinter for the win (giving bonus if in same group as sprinter on last section)
